Magical Ribbons - Project Pixie Dust

Hydrocephalus is an incurable brain condition, sometimes referred to as water on the brain.  Simply put, the condition occurs when the fluid that circulates through your brain and spinal cord is over produced, or doesn’t drain properly. It’s the most common reason for brain surgery in children, but it affects adults and the elderly as well. No two cases are alike, some people are barely affected, and others have a much more severe case. Often, other conditions/disabilities can accompany this condition.

Project Pixie Dust was started to not only spread awareness of the condition, but to provide comforting video messages for children with the condition. We hope that by showing children that their favorite characters not only know what their brain condition is, but don’t see it as something ‘strange’, ‘weird,’ or something that defines them, that they’ll feel more comfortable with the condition, and ultimately themselves.

Magical Ribbons has partnered with Project Pixie Dust to help with their mission. By doing this we hope we can bring help and joy to those with this condition through the magic and lessons of Disney and more. With every purchase of a Project Pixie Dust item, $3 will be donated to The Hydrocephalus Association, one of many organizations that they support, but aren’t affiliated with. As well as a donation to The Hydrocephalus Association, each purchase will help us in our efforts to give these magical items to some people with Hydrocephalus. We hope to inspire everyone to dream and seize the day no matter what your struggle in life may be.
